May 23, 2021, was a great day for members of the Writers Club at the MFM International Headquarters Youth Church, as it was a Sunday dedicated to spoken word poetry, tagged Gospel According to Poetry (GAP).
As a member of the Writer's Club and Spoken Word Sub-unit, Flourish Joshua, amongst other spoken word poets, ministered his first gospel spoken word piece, titled I Go Dey Update Una — a five-minute spoken word performance poetry, broadening the chest of the efficacy of the Blood of the Lamb of God and the capabilities of the power shut up in the ribcage of the Spirit of God!
Flourish entered the stage inebriated with a kind of “wine” that is costly yet affordable and available to every man—the godly wine—from which he sipped intermittently as he performed. The “wine” was a soft drink in a green bottle labelled God.
Staggering from one end of the stage to the other, with sarcasm, humor, and sharp infusions of trendy languages and social constructs, Flourish brought the entire occupants of the two-three thousand hall capacity under the “spell” of language by the spirit and wisdom of God!
Ever since, Flourish has been steadily rising as one of the most seasoned, anointed, and creative spoken word artists, ministering electrifying spoken words (including the legendary performance poetry, THE INTERVIEW), gracing many Christian meetings, home and abroad.
